Pursuant to a notice posted on August 22, 2022, the House Committee on State Affairs met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Metcalf, at 10:05 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Metcalf; Hernandez; Howard; Hunter; King, Phil; Raymond; Shaheen; Slawson; and Smithee.

A quorum was present.

(Representative Harless participating virtually, pursuant to Rule 4, Section 16A).

The Committee met jointly with the Committee on Energy Resources to consider the following joint interim charge:

Monitor the agencies and programs under the Committee's jurisdiction and

oversee the implementation of relevant legislation passed by the 87th

Legislature. Conduct active oversight of all associated rulemaking and

other governmental actions taken to ensure the intended legislative

outcome of all legislation, including the following:

- SB 3, relating to preparing for, preventing, and responding to weather emergencies and power outages. (Joint charge with Committee on Energy Resources)

At 4:55 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
