Pursuant to a notice posted on February 26, 2021, and permission granted on March 3, 2021, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Urban Affairs met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Cortez, at 11:32 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Cortez; Holland; Bernal; Campos; Gates; Johnson, Jarvis; Minjarez; Morales Shaw; and Slaton.

A quorum was present.

Chairman heard testimony on agency functions and the impact of COVID-19 on cities.

At 12:55 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was recessed until 1:10 p.m., March 3, 2021.

The committee reconvened at 1:17 p.m. and was called to order by the chair, Representative Cortez.

The quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Cortez; Bernal; Campos; and Slaton.

A quorum was present for the sole purpose of taking testimony, pursuant to Rule 4, Section 16A.

At 1:23 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
