Pursuant to a notice posted on October 11, 2021, the House Committee on Ways & Means met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Meyer, at 9:52 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Meyer; Thierry; Button; Cole; Murphy; Noble; Rodriguez; Sanford; and Shine.

 

A quorum was present.

 

 

SB 1

 

The chair laid out SB 1 as pending business.

 

Representative Noble offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

(Representative Guerra now present.)

 

Representative Noble moved that SB 1, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Meyer; Thierry; Button; Guerra; Murphy; Noble; Rodriguez; Sanford; Shine (9).

 

Nays:                           Representative Cole (1).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                        Representative Martinez Fischer (1).

 

 

HB 90

 

The chair laid out HB 90 as pending business.

 

Representative Button moved that HB 90, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Meyer; Thierry; Button; Guerra; Murphy; Noble; Sanford (7).

 

Nays:                           Representatives Cole; Rodriguez; Shine (3).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                        Representative Martinez Fischer (1).

 

 

 

 

At 9:58 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
