Pursuant to a notice posted on October 12, 2021, the House Committee on Youth Health & Safety, Select met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Lozano, at 8:10 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Lozano; Johnson, Ann; Allison; Cook; Frank; and Klick.

 

A quorum was present.

 

 

The committee met in an organizational meeting to hear invited testimony on the subject of the effects of social media on youth mental health.
