Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Administration was held on Thursday, April 15, 2021, in the Betty King Committee Room at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 2:05 PM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

 

Senator Johnson moved adoption of the committee rules. There being no objection, it was so ordered.

 

The chair laid out the list of bills to be recommended for placement on Local & Uncontested

Calendar to be held on April 19, 2021, at 8:00 AM.

 

The chair laid out SCR 22 and recognized Senator Huffman, in the absence of the author, to explain the bill.

 

Witnesses testifying and registering on the bill are shown on the attached list.

 

The chair moved that the public testimony be closed; without objection, it was so ordered.

 

 

 

Senator Schwertner moved that SCR 22 be left pending; without objection, it was so ordered.

 

The chair laid out SCR 6 and recognized the author, Senator Perry, to explain the bill.

 

No witnesses registered or testified on the bill.

 

The chair moved that the public testimony be closed; without objection, it was so ordered.
