Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Border Security was held on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.012, at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 10:00 AM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

Senator Hinojosa moved adoption of the committee rules. There being no objection, it was so ordered.

Invited witnesses testifying are shown on the attached list.

At 12:33 PM Senator Birdwell moved that the Committee stand recessed until 12:40 pm. Without objection, it was so ordered.

At 12:40 PM Senator Birdwell reconvened the meeting.

Invited testimony resumed.

There being no further business, at 2:15 PM Senator Birdwell moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
