Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Education was held on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.028, at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 9:10 AM. A quorum not being present, the following business was transacted: The roll was called at 10:07AM and a quorum was established. The following members arrived after the roll was called: Senator Hall, Senator Hughes, Senator Menéndez, Senator Schwertner.

 

The chair laid out SB 1191 and recognized the author, Senator Seliger, to explain the bill.
