Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Jurisprudence was held on Thursday, March 11, 2021, in the Senate Chamber.

The chair called the meeting to order at 1:12 PM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

The Chair made opening remarks and introduced committee staff. The Chair recognized other members to make opening statements and introduce their staff representatives.

 

Senator Creighton moved adoption of the committee rules. There being no objection, it was so ordered.

 

The following witnesses provided invited testimony (see attached witness list).

 

The chair moved that testimony be closed; without objection it was so ordered.

 

There being no further business, at 6:46 PM Senator Huffman moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
