Pursuant to suspension of Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Nominations was held on Thursday, July 15, 2021, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.012, at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 8:02 a.m.  A quorum was not present, the following business was transacted:

Chair Campbell made opening remarks.

Chair Campbell introduced Commissioner Lori Cobos, appointed to be a member of the Public Utility Commission of Texas.

Commissioner Cobos made an opening statement.  Questions and comments were offered by the following members: Chair Campbell, Vice-Chair Paxton, Senator Seliger, and Senator Springer. 

No public testimony was offered.

With no quorum present and no further business, at 8:38 a.m., Vice-Chair Paxton moved that the committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
