The chair called the meeting to order at 9:00 AM. A quorum being established at 9:07 AM the following business was transacted:

 

The following members arrived after the roll was called: Senators Zaffirini, Alvarado, Hancock, Hinojosa, and Hughes.

 

The chair laid out SB 1269 and recognized the author, Senator Whitmire, to explain the bill.
