The chair called the meeting to order at 9:00 AM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:
Senator Zaffirini moved adoption of the committee rules. There being no objection, it was so ordered.
The chair welcomed the Committee members and made introductory remarks. The chair recognized the Committee members and non Committee members to make opening remarks.
The Committee heard invited and public testimony on issues to protect all Texans including school safety, police training and social media. Witnesses testifying and registering are shown on the attached list.
At 11:15 AM, the chair moved that the Committee stand at ease.
At 11:22 AM, the chair reconvened the Committee.
