NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Committee will meet to discuss the following items:

·                Assess recent electric generation shortages and the plans to enhance electric reliability in the ERCOT power generation system.

·                Status of implementation of SB 2, SB 3, SB 2154, and related legislation from the 87th Legislative Session.

·                Review of the provisions of and directives in the July 6, 2021 letter sent by Governor Abbott to the Public Utility Commission.

·                Determine what, if any, legislative actions are necessary to implement the directives outlined within the Governor's July 6, 2021 letter and consider any further legislative action necessary to strengthen and achieve these directives with an emphasis on improving long term electric reliability in the state of Texas.

The Committee will hear invited testimony only.
