The Senate Committee on Border Security will meet:
· To consider and adopt the Committee rules and conduct any other organizational business deemed necessary by the Chair.
· To receive an overview of Operation Lone Star, specifically, the legal, operational, and financial parameters facing the state in addressing the declared disaster at the Texas-Mexico border.
The Committee will only hear invited testimony from the following:
· Colonel Steven McCraw, Director, Texas Department of Public Safety · Brent Webster, Assistant Attorney General, Texas Attorney General · Megan LaVoie, Administrative Director, Office of Court Administration · Katy Fallon-Brown, Manager of Public Safety & Criminal Justice, Legislative Budget Board
If submitting written testimony, please provide 7 copies to the committee clerk with your name or the name of your organization on each copy, and email a digital copy to the clerk of the committee.
