NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The committee will meet to consider the following:

 

SB 1159        Creighton
Relating to performance evaluations of tenured faculty at public institutions of higher education.

SB 1300        Creighton
Relating to the number of baccalaureate degree programs certain public junior colleges may offer.

SB 1521        Zaffirini
Relating to creating a mental health task force to study mental health services provided at institutions of higher education.

SB 1623        Bettencourt
Relating to good cause for revoking the tenure of or otherwise disciplining a faculty member of a public institution of higher education in this state.

SB 1797        West
Relating to access by an institution of higher education to the TexShare library consortium.

SB 1888        Creighton
Relating to the establishment of certain programs to facilitate early high school graduation and enrollment at public institutions of higher education and to the repeal of the Early High School Graduation Scholarship program.

Those wishing to give public testimony, please limit prepared remarks to 2

minutes. If submitting written testimony, please submit 12 copies, with

your name on each copy, to the Committee during the hearing.

 

 

To protect the health and safety of members, staff and the public, the

Senate Higher Education Committee will strictly follow all Senate

rules relating to the pandemic, including the requirement for a negative

COVID-19 test to enter the hearing room.
