Relating to a limitation on the amount of tuition charged by public institutions of higher education.

SB 1193        Hughes
Relating to providing information to undergraduate students regarding a fixed tuition rate provided by general academic teaching institutions.

SB 1227        Taylor
Relating to the granting of undergraduate course credit at public institutions of higher education for certain scores on examinations administered through the College-Level Examination Program.

SB 1237        Zaffirini
Relating to authorizing the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to award grants to public institutions of higher education for alternative student financial assistance plans.

SB 1467        Hinojosa
Relating to The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, to student fees imposed by the university, and to the elimination of certain obsolete statutory references in relation to the university.

SB 1622        Bettencourt            
Relating to measures to support workforce development in the state, including the establishment of the Tri-Agency Workforce Initiative and additional employer workforce data reporting.

SB 1826        Springer               
Relating to the establishment of the Texas Competency-Based Education Grant Program for certain students enrolled in competency-based baccalaureate degree programs and to formula funding and dropped and repeated course restrictions for students enrolled in those degree programs at public institutions of higher education.

SB 1860        Powell                 
Relating to creating an electronic application system for state student financial assistance.

Those wishing to give public testimony, please limit prepared remarks to 2

minutes. If submitting written testimony, please submit 12 copies, with

your name on each copy, to the Committee during the hearing.

 

To protect the health and safety of members, staff and the public, the

Senate Higher Education Committee will strictly follow all Senate

rules relating to the pandemic, including the requirement for a negative
