SENATE RESOLUTION
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and
  commemorates the life of Venita Lynn Dillingham Anderson, who
  died on April 18, 2023, at the age of 61; and
         WHEREAS, Venita Lynn Dillingham was born on November 27,
  1961, in Cincinnati; she graduated from Dunbar High School in
  1979 and went on to earn her bachelor of science degree from
  Illinois State University; after graduating from college, Venita
  moved to Bloomington, Illinois, and began her career with State
  Farm Insurance Company and her lifetime of service in Christian
  ministry; and
         WHEREAS, Venita joined Mount Pisgah Baptist Church in
  Bloomington, where she faithfully served for 22 years in various
  ministries, including in the church's prison ministry; in 2013,
  she began serving Center for Hope Ministries as an administrator
  and mentor under the guidance of her church leaders; and
         WHEREAS, A woman of spiritual depth and devotion, Venita
  became an ordained minister in August of 2021; throughout her
  ministry, Venita dedicated her time and energy to prayer and to
  the teaching of the scriptures; a published poet, Venita's words
  of inspiration comforted many; and
         WHEREAS, In addition to her spiritual responsibilities,
  Venita held various management roles at State Farm Insurance
  Company, where she worked for 34 years until her retirement in
  2018; a hardworking employee, Venita was respected and beloved by
  her colleagues; and
         WHEREAS, Venita was a devoted wife to her husband, Eric
  Neil Anderson, whom she met in 2017 and married on November 24,
  2018, just three days before her 57th birthday; their children
  and grandchildren enriched her life immeasurably; Venita gave
  unselfishly to others, and her wisdom, warmth, and enjoyment of
  life will not be forgotten by all who were privileged to know her;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
  Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby extend sincere
  condolences to the bereaved family of Venita Lynn Dillingham
  Anderson; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
  prepared for her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from
  the Texas Senate and that when the Texas Senate adjourns this
  day, it do so in memory of Venita Lynn Dillingham Anderson.
