Amend HB 4 (house committee report) as follows:

(1) On page 2, between lines 26 and 27, insert the following:

(g) A peace officer may not inquire into the immigration status of a person unless the officer has probable cause to believe that the person has committed an offense under this section.

(2) On page 4, between lines 9 and 10, insert the following:

(f) A peace officer may not inquire into the immigration status of a person unless the officer has probable cause to believe that the person has committed an offense under this section.
