Amend HB 6 (house committee printing) on page 1 by striking lines 5 through 10 and substituting the following appropriately numbered SECTION:

SECTION ____.  APPROPRIATION TO TEXAS EDUCATION AGENCY. The amount of $1,500,000,000 is appropriated from the general revenue fund to the Texas Education Agency for use during the two-year period beginning on the effective date of this Act to increase the amount of the school safety allotment under Section 48.115, Education Code, for the state fiscal biennium ending August 31, 2025, to the greatest amount possible.
