R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Sydney Lee participated in the National Rural |
|
|
Electric Cooperative Association Government-in-Action Youth Tour |
|
|
during the summer of 2023; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Selected as a Youth Tour delegate by the Pedernales |
|
|
Electric Cooperative, Ms. Lee joined some 1,500 students from |
|
|
around the country for an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, |
|
|
D.C.; in the course of the program, she learned about U.S. history |
|
|
and government, met with local political representatives, and |
|
|
toured various historic sites, such as Capitol Hill, the |
|
|
U.S. Supreme Court, and Arlington National Cemetery; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A student at Texas A&M University, Ms. Lee is |
|
|
currently pursuing an economics degree; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Sydney Lee has distinguished herself as a young |
|
|
leader of great promise, and she may indeed take justifiable pride |
|
|
in participating in this exciting experience; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Sydney Lee on |
|
|
taking part in the 2023 National Rural Electric Cooperative |
|
|
Association Government-in-Action Youth Tour and extend to her |
|
|
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Lee as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
