R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The City of Mont Belvieu is hosting the grand
  opening of its new city hall and fire station on November 14, 2023;
  and
         WHEREAS, The new facilities will serve to anchor what the
  city has envisioned as a livable, mixed-use downtown area and to
  replace the old municipal complex, which was built in 1991; and
         WHEREAS, Mont Belvieu broke ground on the city hall on
  March 18, 2021; encompassing nearly 31,000 square feet, the
  building will house a majority of the city's departments, allowing
  for more efficient interdepartmental collaboration and improved
  customer service for residents; the structure includes multiple
  conference rooms and additional space for future growth; and
         WHEREAS, Located across the street from the new city hall,
  Mont Belvieu Fire Station 1 will enable the city's volunteer
  firefighters and full-time paramedics to better serve the community
  and achieve faster response times; the station has such amenities
  as a public lobby with a treatment room for walk-in patients,
  training and fitness rooms, dormitories, and decontamination
  facilities; and
         WHEREAS, Mont Belvieu's impressive new city hall and fire
  station are sure to be a significant resource to the community for
  years to come, and it is a pleasure to join in recognizing the
  vision, leadership, and hard work of those who helped bring this
  project to fruition; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby commemorate the grand
  opening of the new city hall and fire station in Mont Belvieu and
  commend all those who have contributed to this endeavor for their
  efforts; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the City of Mont Belvieu as an expression of high
  regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
