R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, Carlos & Mickey's Restaurant & Cantina in El Paso |
|
|
has won the loyalty of many area residents while contributing to the |
|
|
prosperity of the local economy; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Established in 1944, Carlos & Mickey's is owned and |
|
|
operated by the Saenz family and has earned a reputation for its |
|
|
extensive menu of Mexican food and its live mariachi music; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Local businesses of long standing play a vital role |
|
|
in the culture and economy of the Lone Star State, and it is indeed a |
|
|
pleasure to honor Carlos & Mickey's Restaurant & Cantina for the |
|
|
high regard it has enjoyed in the El Paso community over the nearly |
|
|
eight decades since its founding; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby honor Carlos & Mickey's |
|
|
Restaurant & Cantina and extend to the Saenz family and their staff |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Carlos & Mickey's as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
