R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Uni-Trade Group is marking its 35th anniversary in |
|
|
2023, and this milestone provides a fitting opportunity to |
|
|
recognize the history of this venerable enterprise; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Established in 1988 by Eduardo A. Garza Robles and |
|
|
Rubén Nevárez Pereda, Uni-Trade Group was formed as a customs |
|
|
brokerage agency in Guadalajara, Mexico; today, the business is a |
|
|
third-party logistics firm that has grown to encompass a |
|
|
headquarters in Laredo with over 200,000 square feet of warehouse |
|
|
space as well as additional offices across Mexico and in El Paso and |
|
|
San Diego, California; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Uni-Trade Group offers a robust suite of services, |
|
|
including rail, land, air, and overseas transport, oversized cargo |
|
|
and temperature-controlled transport, warehousing, distribution, |
|
|
packing and unbundling of shipments, and support with legal advice, |
|
|
tariffs, information technologies, and customs related to foreign |
|
|
trade; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For three and a half decades, Uni-Trade Group has |
|
|
provided an important service to citizens in the U.S. and Mexico, |
|
|
and in so doing, it has contributed to the economic prosperity of |
|
|
the Lone Star State and beyond; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby commemorate the 35th |
|
|
anniversary of Uni-Trade Group and extend to all those associated |
|
|
with the company sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be |
|
|
it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Uni-Trade Group as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
