R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Poke Burri Sugar Land celebrated its one year |
|
|
anniversary on October 27, 2023; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Seven Chan and Ken Yu founded the flagship Poke |
|
|
Burri in East Atlanta in October 2016, and today, the restaurant has |
|
|
expanded to include multiple locations in Atlanta as well as |
|
|
franchises in North Carolina, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, and |
|
|
Texas; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Sugar Land location was opened by owners |
|
|
Vanshika Vipin Varma and Sushil Varma in 2022; the menu offers a |
|
|
selection of poke bowls, burrito rolls, ramen noodles, sushi |
|
|
donuts, and Korean fried chicken; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By creating jobs and helping to strengthen the |
|
|
economic environment of Fort Bend County, Poke Burri Sugar Land is |
|
|
contributing to the vitality of that community, and it is fitting |
|
|
that the anniversary of its founding be recognized; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby commemorate the first |
|
|
anniversary of the opening of Poke Burri Sugar Land and extend to |
|
|
Vanshika Vipin Varma and Sushil Varma sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Vanshika Vipin Varma and Sushil Varma as an expression |
|
|
of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives. |
