SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 32
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  join the residents of the City of Granbury in commemorating Pearl
  Harbor Day as the city dedicates its newest site at Memorial Lane
  and accepts a piece of the USS Arizona on December 7, 2023; and
         WHEREAS, The dedication ceremony will take place on the
  anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor and will pay tribute to
  the fallen members of the United States Navy aboard the USS
  Arizona who gave their lives to protect our great nation on that
  fateful day; and
         WHEREAS, A historic memorial piece of the USS Arizona has
  been given to the City of Granbury; and
         WHEREAS, The Friends of Memorial Lane Board has partnered
  with the City of Granbury to provide a new designated site at
  Memorial Lane that will serve as a setting for remembrance of
  this tragic day; and
         WHEREAS, The Friends of Memorial Lane Board has further
  arranged to showcase the donated portion of the riveted hull of
  the battleship for public display at Granbury City Hall; and
         WHEREAS, This meaningful dedication by the City of
  Granbury is sure to remind the city's residents and visitors of
  the heroic contributions of our valiant military service members
  who made the ultimate sacrifice at Pearl Harbor and to evoke in
  every American a sense of patriotism and pride in our nation's
  rich history; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
  Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby recognize the City of
  Granbury on the occasion of the historic dedication of its new
  site at Memorial Lane on Pearl Harbor Day and extend to all in
  attendance best wishes for a memorable and rewarding ceremony;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared in
  honor of this special occasion.
