R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Aedan McLennan participated in the National Rural |
|
|
Electric Cooperative Association Government-in-Action Youth Tour |
|
|
during the summer of 2023; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Selected as a Youth Tour delegate by the Pedernales |
|
|
Electric Cooperative, Mr. McLennan joined some 1,500 students from |
|
|
around the country for an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, |
|
|
D.C.; in the course of the program, he learned about U.S. history |
|
|
and government, met with local political representatives, and |
|
|
toured various historic sites, such as Capitol Hill, the |
|
|
U.S. Supreme Court, and Arlington National Cemetery; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A freshman at Texas Tech University, this bright |
|
|
young Texan is currently pursuing studies in business |
|
|
administration; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Aedan McLennan has distinguished himself as a young |
|
|
leader of great promise, and he may indeed take justifiable pride in |
|
|
participating in this exciting experience; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature, 3rd |
|
|
Called Session, hereby congratulate Aedan McLennan on taking part |
|
|
in the 2023 National Rural Electric Cooperative Association |
|
|
Government-in-Action Youth Tour and extend to him sincere best |
|
|
wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. McLennan as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas Senate. |
