R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Mousab Eltgani participated in the National Rural |
|
|
Electric Cooperative Association Government-in-Action Youth Tour |
|
|
during the summer of 2023; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Selected as a Youth Tour delegate by the Pedernales |
|
|
Electric Cooperative, Mr. Eltgani joined more than 1,800 students |
|
|
from around the country for an all-expenses-paid trip to |
|
|
Washington, D.C.; over the course of the program, he learned about |
|
|
U.S. history and government, met with local political |
|
|
representatives, and toured various historic sites, such as Capitol |
|
|
Hill, the U.S. Supreme Court, and Arlington National Cemetery; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Eltgani is a senior at Leander High School, and |
|
|
he plans to major in computer science and minor in political science |
|
|
in college; inspired by his trip to our nation's capital, he intends |
|
|
to apply for admission to Georgetown University and George |
|
|
Washington University; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mousab Eltgani has distinguished himself as a young |
|
|
leader of great promise, and he may indeed take justifiable pride in |
|
|
participating in this exciting experience; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature, 3rd |
|
|
Called Session, hereby congratulate Mousab Eltgani on taking part |
|
|
in the 2023 National Rural Electric Cooperative Association |
|
|
Government-in-Action Youth Tour and extend to him sincere best |
|
|
wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Eltgani as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas Senate. |
