R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The United States is the leader of the free world; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The United States has been the beacon of light and |
|
|
hope when an international crisis occurs; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The United States has the moral imperative to show |
|
|
compassion by providing humanitarian assistance to innocent lives |
|
|
who have been affected by conflicts that are beyond their control; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The conflict in the Middle East has resulted in a |
|
|
crisis that requires humanitarian assistance; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The State of Texas values protecting human lives; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The State of Texas mourns all the lives that have |
|
|
been lost; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby respectfully urge the |
|
|
Congress of the United States to provide immediate humanitarian |
|
|
assistance to those affected by the conflict in the Middle East; |
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Chief Clerk of the House forward official |
|
|
copies of this resolution to the President of the United States, to |
|
|
the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of |
|
|
Representatives of the United States Congress, and to all the |
|
|
members of the Texas delegation to congress with the request that |
|
|
this resolution be entered in the Congressional Record as a |
|
|
memorial to the Congress of the United States of America. |
