R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Andy Wilson is retiring as athletic trainer for |
|
|
Harker Heights High School in the Killeen Independent School |
|
|
District in December 2023, concluding an outstanding tenure in |
|
|
education that has spanned 34 years; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Andy Wilson began his career at Copperas Cove High |
|
|
School in 1990; six years later, he joined the staff at Killeen High |
|
|
School, where his father, Al "Doc" Wilson, was a longtime athletic |
|
|
trainer for the Kangaroos; in 2000, he became head athletic trainer |
|
|
at Harker Heights High School during the Knights' first season of |
|
|
competition; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A member of the Killeen High School Class of 1985, |
|
|
Mr. Wilson graduated from Angelo State University; in retirement, |
|
|
he looks forward to working for Harley-Davidson and continuing to |
|
|
umpire high school baseball games; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Andy Wilson has made a positive impact on the lives |
|
|
of countless young Texans, and as he begins the next exciting |
|
|
chapter of his life, he may indeed reflect with pride on a career |
|
|
well spent; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby congratulate Andy Wilson on |
|
|
his retirement from Harker Heights High School and extend to him |
|
|
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Wilson as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
