H.R. No. 40
 
 
 
R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Larry Nikiel is retiring from St. Bernadette
  Catholic Church in 2023, and this occasion provides a fitting
  opportunity to reflect on his decades of exemplary service to the
  congregation; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Nikiel first joined St. Bernadette Catholic
  Church in 1978 as a founding member, and over the years, he has
  volunteered as an usher and a lector; in June 2000, he became the
  parish's maintenance supervisor, and he has made vital
  contributions in this role, including overseeing the
  groundskeeping, preparing facilities for severe weather, and
  managing such projects as the installation of the baptismal
  fountain, construction of the Parish Life Center, and renovation of
  the preschool; in addition, he has reliably been on call to address
  emergencies after hours and on his days off; he has also given of
  his time and talents as a member of the church's Knights of Columbus
  Council; and
         WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Nikiel has enjoyed the
  love and support of his wife, Betty, as well as that of their four
  daughters, Amy, Kristin, Beth, and Ann; and
         WHEREAS, Larry Nikiel's dedication, professionalism, and
  commitment to excellence have greatly benefited the congregants of
  St. Bernadette Catholic Church, and he may indeed reflect with
  pride on his outstanding record of achievement as he embarks on the
  next exciting chapter of his life; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby congratulate Larry Nikiel
  on his retirement from St. Bernadette Catholic Church and extend to
  him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Nikiel as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
