R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A rich and purposeful life drew to a close with the
  passing of Leslie Paul Boone of Blanchard, Oklahoma, on September
  29, 2023, at the age of 77; and
         WHEREAS, Paul Boone was born on January 9, 1946, and he
  attended schools in the Tuloso-Midway Independent School District
  in Corpus Christi; following his high school graduation in 1964, he
  obtained a bachelor's degree in secondary education from Texas A&I
  University; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Boone was employed as a teacher and coach for
  many years, and he went on to enjoy a rewarding career in the
  petrochemical industry that spanned more than two decades; he later
  retired to Lake Toledo Bend in Hemphill, where he lived for some 15
  years before moving to Oklahoma; and
         WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Boone benefited from the
  love and support of his wife, Bonnie, with whom he shared a
  fulfilling marriage that spanned 58 years; he took great pride in
  his children, Brian and Bren, and his family eventually grew to
  include six grandchildren, Matthew, Kayla, Carsen, Kaed, Kaelyn,
  and Kye; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Boone treasured time spent with his loved ones,
  and some of his favorite activities included cheering on his
  children at sporting events, cooking meals for family gatherings,
  and playing card and board games; he was also a talented craftsman
  and enjoyed building things by hand; and
         WHEREAS, Although Paul Boone is deeply missed, memories of
  his warmth, his integrity, and his devotion to his family remain to
  comfort and inspire those he leaves behind; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of
  Leslie Paul Boone and extend heartfelt sympathy to the members of
  his family: to his wife, Bonnie Boone; to his brother, Wayne Boone;
  to his sister, Loyce Pearson and her husband, Mike; to his son,
  Brian Boone and his wife, Kimberly; to his daughter, Bren Petroski
  and her husband, Tom; to his grandchildren, Matthew, Kayla, and
  Carsen Boone, and Kaed, Kaelyn, and Kye Petroski; and to his other
  relatives and many friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Paul Boone.
