R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The 69th birthday of an esteemed Texan is indeed |
|
|
cause for celebration, and Raul Liendo marked that special |
|
|
milestone on November 9, 2023; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Born in 1954, Mr. Liendo earned a bachelor's degree |
|
|
in government from The University of Texas at Austin; he is |
|
|
currently in his 15th year with Oncor, and he previously served as a |
|
|
legislative consultant for TXU Energy and as a member of the staff |
|
|
for the Texas Senate and House of Representatives; fondly known as |
|
|
"Tio Raul" to his friends at the State Capitol, he has earned the |
|
|
respect and admiration of lawmakers and staff alike for his wise |
|
|
mentorship and extensive knowledge of the legislature; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Above all else, Mr. Liendo treasures time spent with |
|
|
his five children and five grandchildren; in his leisure hours, he |
|
|
enjoys learning about history and writing music and short stories; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, With the passage of another year, Raul Liendo may |
|
|
reflect with pride on his wide-ranging accomplishments and on the |
|
|
many significant contributions he has made in behalf of his fellow |
|
|
citizens; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby congratulate Raul Liendo on |
|
|
the occasion of his 69th birthday and extend to him sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Liendo as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
