R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The marching band of Panhandle High School achieved
  great distinction with its outstanding performance at the
  University Interscholastic League 2A State Marching Band Contest,
  which was held at the Alamodome in San Antonio on October 31, 2023;
  and
         WHEREAS, Facing off against other top marching bands from
  across Texas, the Panhandle High ensemble delivered an outstanding
  showing at the state championship event; guided by band director
  John Bratton, the Pride of Panhandle band captured the bronze medal
  in the 2A contest, securing the highest finish at a state
  competition in program history; and
         WHEREAS, Through hard work and an unwavering resolve to give
  their very best, the talented young performers of the Panhandle
  High School Marching Band have earned the admiration of their
  fellow students and their many community supporters, and they may
  indeed take great pride in their achievements; now, therefore, be
  it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby congratulate the Panhandle
  High School band on its third-place finish at the 2023 UIL 2A State
  Marching Band Contest and that all those involved with the ensemble
  be extended sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the band as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
