R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends were deeply saddened by the
  passing of Judith Morrow Boyd Hirschfeld of San Angelo on
  October 7, 2023, at the age of 83; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Lillian and Preston Morrow, the
  former Judith Morrow was born on February 9, 1940, in Rotan, and she
  grew up with the companionship of a brother, Preston; she graduated
  from Texas Tech University; during her marriage to her first
  husband, the late William Boyd, she proudly supported his career in
  the U.S. Air Force and served as a schoolteacher wherever they were
  stationed; she later became the volunteer coordinator for Hospice
  of San Angelo; and
         WHEREAS, In 1992, Mrs. Hirschfeld married David Hirschfeld,
  and the couple enjoyed a rewarding union that spanned more than
  three decades; together, they contributed to many charitable
  organizations, and she became especially passionate about animals;
  over the years, she was active in Weimaraner rescue efforts and
  adopted numerous dogs; in 2020, she and her husband opened the
  Judith and David Hirschfeld Adoption Center for Concho Valley PAWS;
  she was also involved in local and national Republican politics;
  moreover, she was a valued congregant of the First Methodist Church
  in San Angelo, where she volunteered with the children and youth
  ministries; and
         WHEREAS, Above all else, Mrs. Hirschfeld took great pride in
  her cherished family, which grew to include her son, Ted, and
  grandsons, Harrison and Hayden, as well as Mr. Hirschfeld's
  children, David, Shawnee, Kendall, and Wendall, and his
  grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Judith Hirschfeld lived a rich and purposeful life
  dedicated to her loved ones, her faith, and her community, and she
  earned the lasting respect and admiration of all who were
  privileged to know her; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory
  of Judith Morrow Boyd Hirschfeld and extend sincere condolences to
  all who mourn her passing; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Judith
  Hirschfeld.
