SENATE RESOLUTION
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |
|
|
recognize the Korean American Medical Association of Texas on the |
|
|
occasion of its scholarship ceremony dinner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Korean American Medical Association of Texas |
|
|
is a highly respected nonprofit organization founded in 2010 that |
|
|
seeks to promote the collective interests of physicians of Korean |
|
|
heritage in Texas; the association provides support and |
|
|
opportunities for members of the Korean American medical |
|
|
community by hosting a variety of workshops and networking events |
|
|
and by fostering mentorship and education for young Korean |
|
|
American physicians; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The association is recognizing and celebrating |
|
|
the hard work and dedication of scholarship recipients at its |
|
|
scholarship ceremony dinner on November 11, 2023, in Houston; the |
|
|
ceremony will recognize the outstanding commitment of all in the |
|
|
Korean American medical community and is a fitting opportunity |
|
|
for association members to encourage and honor the efforts of |
|
|
these exceptional students; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The admirable medical professionals in the Korean |
|
|
American Medical Association of Texas are tireless in their |
|
|
mission to provide a source of strength and connection for |
|
|
physicians of Korean American heritage in Texas, and their |
|
|
dedication to cultivating safe and healthy communities for all |
|
|
Texans is truly meritorious; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th |
|
|
Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby commend the Korean |
|
|
American Medical Association of Texas on its valuable |
|
|
contributions to the Lone Star State and extend to this year's |
|
|
scholarship recipients congratulations on their academic |
|
|
achievements and best wishes for success in all their future |
|
|
endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared in |
|
|
honor of the association. |
