SENATE RESOLUTION
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Elizabeth Suarez, who is being inducted into the Texas
  Women's Hall of Fame for her outstanding public service to the
  community of McAllen; and
         WHEREAS, The Governor's Commission for Women established
  the Texas Women's Hall of Fame in 1984 to recognize extraordinary
  Texas women who have made significant contributions to the Lone
  Star State in the fields of the arts, athletics, business,
  education, philanthropy, public service, and science and
  technology; and
         WHEREAS, Exceptional women from across the state are
  nominated biennially by their fellow Texans and selected by an
  independent panel of judges for induction into the Texas Women's
  Hall of Fame; and
         WHEREAS, Elizabeth Suarez is being recognized for her
  commitment to her community and her service to the people of
  McAllen; a distinguished leader in McAllen's municipal
  government, she has made a number of notable contributions to the
  infrastructural and economic development of the Rio Grande
  Valley; and
         WHEREAS, Elizabeth played an instrumental role in
  developing improved ground and air connectivity that has
  strengthened the region's domestic and international
  transportation network and enriched the local economy; her
  vision and wisdom are a source of inspiration to her fellow
  public servants, and she is highly regarded by her colleagues and
  the members of her community; and
         WHEREAS, Noted for her exemplary leadership and generous
  spirit, Elizabeth will be recognized at the 2023 Texas Women's
  Hall of Fame induction ceremony on November 9, 2023, in Austin,
  and it is truly fitting that she be honored for her dedicated
  service to her community; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
  Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby commend Elizabeth Suarez
  on her induction into the Texas Women's Hall of Fame and extend to
  her best wishes for continued success in all her future
  endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
