SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 21
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |
|
|
recognize Patti and Don Johnson on their dedicated service to |
|
|
Senate District 25; and |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, Don Johnson has been a source of wisdom and |
|
|
inspiration to the members of Senate District 25, and his service |
|
|
to the district has been invaluable; during his time as treasurer |
|
|
of the Comal County Republican Party, Don was instrumental in |
|
|
maintaining the party's records and budget reports; and |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, A man of courage and integrity, Don served as the |
|
|
County Senate District 25 chairman for meetings at Texas State |
|
|
Conventions, and he went above and beyond his duties supporting |
|
|
precinct chairs with their responsibilities and reminding others |
|
|
to uphold the standards of state law, including the Election |
|
|
Code; and |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, Patti Johnson has served in a number of leadership |
|
|
positions in the district, including as president of Canyon Lake |
|
|
Republican Women, as chair of the Awards and Achievements |
|
|
Committee, and as co-chair of the Hospitality Committee for the |
|
|
Texas Federation of Republican Women; an expert in bylaws and |
|
|
procedures, Patti has earned multiple awards for her service to |
|
|
the district; and |

|
|
WHEREAS, Don and Patti have been active in many levels of |
|
|
their party for numerous years, and their presence will be |
|
|
sincerely missed in Senate District 25; it is truly fitting that |
|
|
this extraordinary couple be recognized for their significant |
|
|
contributions; now, therefore, be it |
| |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th |
|
|
Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby commend Don and Patti |
|
|
Johnson on their service to Senate District 25 and extend to them |
|
|
best wishes in all their future endeavors; and, be it further |
| |
|
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
|
them as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. |
