R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A rich and purposeful life drew to a close with the
  passing of Barbara Ruth Boone of White Oak on November 2, 2023, at
  the age of 68; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Bill and Marlena Terry, the former
  Barbara Terry was born in Bronte on November 11, 1954, and she grew
  up with the companionship of seven siblings, Patricia, Mollie,
  Gary, James, Richard, Steve, and Mike; she moved with her family to
  White Oak in 1961, and after graduating from high school, she
  attended nursing school at Kilgore College; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Boone briefly worked at Good Shepherd Hospital
  before embarking on a rewarding career as a mail carrier for the
  United States Postal Service; over the course of her more than three
  decades in that position, she formed many lasting friendships with
  her colleagues and customers along her route; and
         WHEREAS, Above all else, Ms. Boone was a devoted mother to
  her daughter, Amanda Munoz, and she had the pleasure of welcoming
  into her family a grandson, Keelin; a woman of deep faith, she was a
  longtime member of White Oak United Methodist Church; in her
  leisure hours, she enjoyed playing cards, camping, fishing, and
  spending time with her loved ones; and
         WHEREAS, Although Barbara Boone is greatly missed, she has
  left her family and friends with many cherished memories, and she
  will forever hold a special place in their hearts; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature, 4th
  Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of Barbara Ruth Boone
  and extend heartfelt sympathy to the members of her family: to her
  daughter, Amanda Munoz; to her grandson, Keelin Munoz; to her
  sisters, Patricia Owens and Mollie Upton; to her brothers, Gary
  Smith, James Smith, Richard Smith, and Steve Terry; and to her other
  relatives and many friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns this
  day, it do so in memory of Barbara Boone.
