SENATE RESOLUTION
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize the Hill-Bert's Burgers in Austin and the family of
  Hilbert R. Maldonado on the occasion of the restaurant's 50th
  anniversary; and
         WHEREAS, This treasured family-owned business was founded
  in 1973 by enterprising University of Texas student Hilbert R.
  Maldonado, who set out to create the best burger in the capital
  city; and
         WHEREAS, Hilbert and his wife Lucille, pursued their dream
  of establishing Hill-Bert's Burgers, and their phenomenal family
  burger and milkshake recipes became favorites of Austin locals
  and visitors alike; and
         WHEREAS, For 50 years, the Austin community has been
  overwhelmingly appreciative of Hill-Bert's fresh and juicy
  burgers, hand-breaded chicken-fried steak sandwiches, homemade
  onion rings, and famous milkshakes; and
         WHEREAS, This beloved business and its owners and staff
  are indeed deserving of special recognition for catering to the
  hearts and palates of Texans throughout the years and for
  continuing their family's proud tradition of providing
  exceptional service and delicious fare to their customers; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
  Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby commend the Maldonado
  family and the staff of Hill-Bert's Burgers on their
  contributions to the Austin community and extend to all
  congratulations on the restaurant's 50th anniversary and best
  wishes for the future and for continued success; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared as a
  memento of this special occasion.
