R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Samuel Garcia has been selected by Forbes magazine
  for inclusion in the venture capital category of its 2024 30 Under
  30 list, which recognizes young innovators in a range of fields; and
         WHEREAS, Sam Garcia earned his place on the list for his role
  as a partner at Amplo, a Texas-based venture capital fund; with six
  years of experience in venture capitalism, he focuses on investing
  in early-stage tech companies, serving on the boards of Lightyear,
  Flume, Kredi, Tradespace, Wizehire, Steno, Axion Ray, and Doxel; he
  further contributes to the industry as vice president of LatinxVC;
  and
         WHEREAS, A native of Mission, Mr. Garcia holds a bachelor's
  degree from The University of Texas at Austin Canfield Business
  Honors Program and a juris doctor degree from Harvard Law School;
  one of the youngest Hispanic faculty members in the history of
  Harvard Law School, he will be teaching Applying Legal Knowledge in
  VC Business Diligence in spring 2024; and
         WHEREAS, Through his hard work and commitment to excellence,
  Sam Garcia has set an example to which all in his field may aspire,
  and this prestigious honor is a fitting tribute to all that he has
  accomplished; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature, 4th
  Called Session, hereby congratulate Samuel Garcia on his inclusion
  on the Forbes magazine 2024 30 Under 30 list and extend to him
  sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Garcia as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  Senate.
