Amend CSHB 1 (house committee printing) in Article I of the bill, following the appropriations to Fiscal Programs-Comptroller of Public Accounts, by amending Rider 22, Opioid Abatement Account (page I-30), after "statute.", by inserting the following:

The comptroller shall allocate a portion of the money distributed from that account to the Texas Division of Emergency Management for the state fiscal biennium ending August 31, 2025, in an amount sufficient to provide first responder training on the safe handling on fentanyl and to support working with other state agencies for that purpose, to the extent permitted by general law.
