Amend CSHB 44 (house committee report) on page 1 as follows:
(1) On line 8, between "PROHIBITED" and the underlined period, insert "; EXCEPTION".
(2) Between lines 21 and 22, insert the following appropriately lettered subsection and reletter subsequent subsections and references to those subsections accordingly:
(____) This section does not apply to a provider with a high number, as determined by commission rule, of patients who are immunocompromised, including patients who are immunocompromised because of a disease or as a result of treatment for a disease, including:
(1) cancer;
(2) sickle cell disease;
(3) systemic lupus erythematosus;
(4) Crohn's disease; and
(5) other diseases as determined by the commission.
