Amend CSHB 71 (house committee report) as follows:
(1) On page 1, line 13, strike "and a digital hunting or fishing license" and substitute "a digital hunting or fishing license, and a digital license issued by the Department of Public Safety under Chapter 1702, Occupations Code".
(2) On page 2, line 18, strike "and".
(3) On page 2, line 23, immediately following the underlined semicolon, insert the following:
and
(c) the information included on a license issued by the Department of Public Safety under Chapter 1702, Occupations Code;
(4) On page 3, strike lines 5-11, and insert the following appropriately lettered subsections:
(____) The department may not charge a fee for the issuance of digital identification under this section.
(____) If an applicant is eligible for a form of identification described by Subsection (b), the department or the Parks and Wildlife Department, as applicable, shall:
(1) issue the applicant a physical version of the identification; and
(2) on request, issue the applicant digital identification under this section.
(5) Reletter the remaining subsections of added Section 526.0102, Transportation Code, accordingly.
