Amend CSHB 1152 (house committee report) as follows:
(1) On page 1, between lines 23 and 24, insert the following appropriately lettered subsection:
(____) A political subdivision may not appoint or employ a person under this section to hold a supervisory position until the person becomes a United States citizen.
(2) On page 2, line 7, strike "and".
(3) On page 2, line 10, strike the underlined period and substitute "; and".
(4) On page 2, between lines 10 and 11, insert the following appropriately numbered subdivision:
(____) presents evidence satisfactory to the commission that the person has applied for United States citizenship.
(5) On page 4, line 2, between the underlined comma and "legal" insert "proof of".
(6) On page 4, line 2, between "residence" and the semicolon, insert the following:
and proof that the person has applied for United States citizenship
