Amend CSHB 1565 (house committee report) by adding the following appropriately numbered SECTION to the bill and renumbering subsequent SECTIONS of the bill accordingly:
SECTION ____. Subchapter C, Chapter 16, Water Code, is amended by adding Section 16.0511 to read as follows:
Sec. 16.0511. FEASIBILITY REVIEW OF MARVIN NICHOLS RESERVOIR PROJECT. (a) Not later than January 5, 2025, the executive administrator shall evaluate the feasibility of the proposed Marvin Nichols Reservoir, to be located on the Sulphur River upstream from its confluence with White Oak Creek in Franklin, Titus, and Red River Counties.
(b) In conducting the feasibility review, the executive administrator shall analyze:
(1) the implementation timeline;
(2) associated costs;
(3) land acquisition considerations; and
(4) the economic impact.
(c) This section expires December 31, 2025.
