Amend CSHB 2127 (house committee printing) on page 6 as follows:
(1) On line 7, strike "Unless" and substitute "Except as provided by this section, unless".
(2) Between lines 17 and 18, insert the following appropriately lettered subsection:
(____) This section does not apply to an ordinance, order, or rule that seeks to educate workers, employers, or the public about wage theft, as defined by this code, the Penal Code, or the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 (29 U.S.C. Section 201 et seq.).
