Amend HB 4779 (house committee printing) as follows:

(1)  On page 1, line 13, strike "$2,500" and substitute "$100".

(2)  Strike page 1, line 21, through page 2, line 2, and substitute the following:

[(2)] a Class B misdemeanor if the total value of the merchandise involved in the activity is $100 or more but less than $750;

(2) [(3)]  a Class A misdemeanor if the total value of the merchandise involved in the activity is $750 or more but less than $2,500;

(3)  On page 2, line 6, strike "(2)" and substitute "(4)".

(4)  On page 2, line 9, strike "(3)" and substitute "(5)".

(5)  On page 2, line 12, strike "(4)" and substitute "(6)".

(6)  On page 2, line 16, strike "(b)(1)-(3)" and substitute "(b)(1)-(5)".
