Amend HR 4 (adopting the permanent rules of the house) as follows:

(1)  On page 127, line 6, between "resolution" and "has", insert ", other than a resolution proposing impeachment,".

(2)  On page 127, line 10, between the period and "A vote", insert "A calendars committee must vote on whether to place a resolution proposing impeachment on the applicable calendar not later than the seventh calendar day after the resolution is referred to the committee.".

(3)  On page 127, line 14, between "resolution" and "has", insert ", other than a resolution proposing impeachment,".

(4)  On page 127, line 21, between the period and "This motion", insert "When a resolution proposing impeachment has been in the appropriate calendars committee for seven calendar days, exclusive of the calendar day on which it was referred, awaiting placement on a calendar, it shall be in order for a member to move that the resolution be placed on a specific calendar of the daily house calendar or on the local, consent, and resolutions calendar without action by the committee."
