Amend SB 2 (senate committee report) by adding the following appropriately numbered SECTION to the bill and renumbering subsequent SECTIONS of the bill accordingly:
SECTION ____. Chapter 62, Election Code, is amended by adding Section 62.0113 to read as follows:
Sec. 62.0113. VOTER INELIGIBILITY NOTICE. (a) An election officer shall post a sign listing the particular circumstances that make a person not eligible to vote, including the types of criminal convictions, in one or more locations in the polling place where it can be read by persons waiting to vote.
(b) The secretary of state shall prescribe the form and content of the sign required by this section.
