Amend SB 17 on third reading by striking the SECTION of the bill added by Item (2) of Floor Amendment No. 23 by Kuempel on second reading and substituting the following appropriately numbered SECTION:

SECTION ____.  A public institution of higher education shall make reasonable efforts to assist each employee of the institution whose position is eliminated as a result of the implementation of Section 51.3525, Education Code, as added by this Act, in finding employment in a position of similar pay at an institution of higher education in another state.
