Amend CSSB 1039 (senate committee report) in SECTION 1 of the bill, immediately following added Section 280.002(f), Election Code (page 2, between lines 42 and 43), by inserting the following subsection:
(g) The secretary of state may not appoint a conservator under Subsection (f) if the secretary has declined to appoint a conservator for the same or similar violation by a county clerk or other authority conducting an election in another county.
